Euronews Culture’s Film of the Week: ‘Primetime’ – Robert Pattinson needs to catch his predator (and ratings)
Lance Oppenheim’s narrative debut features a masterful turn from Robert Pattinson in a dark media satire about blurring the lines between journalism and exploitation. Primetime will fascinate and occasionally frustrate as a surface-level mood piece.

Eurozone trade rises
http://www.euronews.com/ Trade volumes for the eurozone rose in the first six months of this year according to the latest EU figures.
Exports were up by eight percent from the same period last year while imports rose two percent.
That reflects relatively weak domestic demand for goods.
The region’s trade surplus swung from a deficit of 23 billion euros in the first half of last year to a surplus of 26.2 billion.
Analysts said that was a clear sign that austerity and structural economic reforms are working.

Outsider populists hope to jump on Trump bandwagon

The far right in the Netherlands is convinced the wave that has taken Trump to the White House is also crossing the Atlantic.
Geert Wilders, leader of the far-right Dutch Freedom Party (PVV), said: “Yesterday showed – and that is what I will tell my voters – that everything is possible and this will not stop, you see the …

The Reuters news agency said it obtained the footage, shot from a rooftop near the newspaper’s offices.
Hooded and dressed in black, the men are seen calmly reloading their weapons and getting into the black car in which they make their getaway.
One of the gunmen repeatedly shouts: “We have avenged the Prophet Mohammad” – a triumphant cry heard clearly on the newly-rele…

Trump says Iran could attack US cities, White House clarifies comments
The White House clarified Donald Trump’s comments at a Monday night rally, explaining that the president was not insinuating that he wanted Iran to attack US cities but instead wants to prevent Tehran from having that capability.
Trump was discussing the Iran war and the resulting high gas prices Monday night when he mentioned the possibility of an Iranian attack on US soil. “It’s a small price to pay for keeping the world safe, keeping our country safe,” he said of the war and its economic fallout. “They can take out a city. Let them take out Los Angeles, let them take out San Diego. This is a very small price to pay.”
