Execution ‘botched’ in Oklahoma as lethal injection fails to work as expected
A death row inmate in Oklahoma suffered a prolonged execution after the lethal injection failed to work as expected.
Clayton Lockett, 38 suffered a vein collapse, which prevented the cocktail of three drugs from taking their full effect.
The execution was halted and prison officials pulled the curtain across to prevent witnesses seeing Lockett’s discomfort.

Lethal injections are not humane. Regardless of what the person has done, if they're meant to die, I think gunshot to the head works quicker. Nobody has to witness grimacing or painful excruciating pain from the inmate.

Is the pattasium chloride same as that of given in the plant and tree roots?? If the firsts two drugs are not given in lethan then how much painful it will cause for lether for only the potassium choloride.

Why are they waiting 14 days to execute the other prisoner? What.. do we want to make sure he get's executed humanly? How about we a pass a new law. If the criminal kills the victim humanly, he shall receive the same punishment.. if not.. INTO THE MEAT GRINDER!

His victim was shot and buried alive, but our constitution forbids cruel and unusual punishment for prisoners. I guess it was put in the constitution, because the forefathers remembered the torture dungeons that were used in Europe back in the day. I'm no Muslim by any means, but sometimes that eye for an eye thing they do under Sharia seems to be what some of these monsters like this guy deserve.

They accidentally killed him while trying to execute him? Too bad he wasn't in that prison decades ago, because they had the electric chair back in the 70's when my Dad worked there as a prison psychologist. Back in the 80's there was a riot in this prison and several guards were taken hostage and one of them was castrated and another had one of his eyes gouged out with an ice pick. Personally, I think they should do away with prisons and execute all of the murderers, rapists, and child molesters. They should open up work camps for the thieves and have them work and pay restitution to their crime victims.

We need to make this process less complicated and and cheaper.
I say brig back firing squads.
Just take them out back and shoot them.
Easy as pie, no suffering involved.

Am not a fan of the death sentence..but let's be realistic if that was my 9 month daughter who was raped or my wife or sister or daughter was shot and buried alive.. fuck that !..death sentence is a fair result and if that was one of my family i would have watched this fucker die slow with a bucket of popcorn and 3D glasses
