The leaks make it clear: this is definitely a US proxy war against Russia. Provoked by the US tool, NATO, in order to use Ukraine as a means of weakening Russia so US hegemony can be maintained. It’ll end the same way as previous US military schemes, with disastrous results and violent blowback.

NATOs presence on the ground is kinda a bygone assumption. Besides 100 personnel does NOT ESCALATE anything. If it were 1000 armed troops with permission to engage then that’s different. Maybe. Besides escalation has drawbacks for Moscow, not just NATO. None of this info was that shocking to be honest. I’m willing to bet that the pentagons cross government panel is like most of them. A public circus designed to distract, at the end concluding nothing.

All of this should have been public information from the beginning. Whistleblowers are heroes. Take this as reason to not trust the official numbers on stuff like this until long after the war.
