In 2024, Germany faces chaos with a rising AfD, a rightward shift in Merkel’s Christian Democrats, and a collapsing Left party. The governing coalition also adopts a more right-wing stance. This video explores the changing political landscape in Germany.

CORRECTION: At 1:50, when we're talking about the AfD's popularity in Saxony, we mislabelled Saxony-Anhalt on the map. Saxony is in fact the region to the southeast, below Brandenburg and to the east of Thuringia. Apologies for this error; we hope this has cleared things up and you nonetheless enjoy the video!

Merz is not “flirting” with the AfD. On the contrary: he has definitely ruled out collaboration with the AfD! That's a shame, but your statement is wrong.

Italy has a neo-fascist government; Germany moves toward the right and Japan is ramping up her defense spending while parts of the former Russian Empire are fighting each other. Meanwhile, the US is discussing whether an isolationist policy would be better for her. What could possibly go wrong? Peace for our time!

The first AfD Mayor in Germany (city of Raguhn) promised to lower kindergarten costs and much more. Well, after less than 2 months in power, he decided to increase the kindergarten costs by 60%. That´s right wing policy and people still fall for it.

Why the right is on the rise? Because it has been missing for decades on the political spectrum. If there is space for a left wing, there is also space for a right wing.

It's not moving right, German politic is correcting itself. Every party now, except the AfD is crazy leftist. No reasonable politics anymore. And everything conservative they proclaim are empty words. Look at the results, not the words.

It should not be forgotten that electricity prices have risen sharply as a result of purchases from abroad and that the Green Party has extended and increased taxes. That they are telling people to ban their gas heating systems and install heat pumps, which only work in very new energy-efficient houses. That there have been many mass rapes, the murder rate has risen and there are more calls for a caliphate at demonstrations. Industry has declined sharply, several thousand jobs have been cut and major industries have gone abroad. School education is in a catastrophic state, and Germany is in 21st place in the PISA study. The authorities still use floppy disks and fax machines. The Foreign Minister is making a name for herself internationally with embarrassments that speak strongly against her general education. According to surveys, the perceived freedom of opinion is at the level of the GDR. As in the GDR, there are denunciation offices and former SED (Party of the GDR) politicians are part of the Bundestag. Public television has demonstrably interviewed over 90 politicians or members of government think tanks and portrayed them as normal passers-by of the demonstrators. The government has the opposition monitored by the secret service and wants to have it banned. But even these are just examples that show the tip of the iceberg.

    February 13, 2024 at 9:22 am

Good to see Germany turning back the clock 80 years 🙃

  23. @emskirchnerdrehstromprojek4270

    February 13, 2024 at 9:22 am

Because germany was moved extremely to the left by the government. And now, after thousands of dead germans by illegal migrants, thousands of r4pes and g4angr4pes by illegal migrants, we want politicians that do not hate germany and the germans

  24. @IainFrame

    February 13, 2024 at 9:22 am

The so-called "right" is only getting more popular because the left has been so destructive, the veneer of "oh we're all about kindness" has worn off, and no one is buying it any more. People are now just pushing back and saying "hey we actually like traditional values and we see how our societies are built on their hard work, sacrifice and loyalty". The constant attacks on the family, tradition, western European culture and history has led to this timely resistance and hopefully it isn't too late. That legitimate resistance is not "far right", it's just lower case conservatism. Sadly, so much of our sociocultural fabric has become extremely left wing that everything seems right win in comparison. What Stephen Pinker called the "left pole".

  25. @edelmary1131

    February 13, 2024 at 9:22 am

perhaps the global citizens are so gaslighted by the global elites left agenda ( or rather capitalist agenda wrapped up outwardly in WOKE terminology) and resent their children suffering Stockholm Syndrome with all the vaccine measure violations of the Nuremberg Convention. over the top lockdowns and the way the police became pet pitbulls of the elite run state…push people too far and they react…. but I am just a convict from DownUnder and rebellion against tyranny runs deep in our blood-line….

  26. @user-tr6lj6iu5k

    February 13, 2024 at 9:22 am

its not a move to the right, its a move from left back to the middle, that a difference. the program from AfD is baes on german basic-law, so what means right? very missleading all these reports about far-right

  30. @derdeutschemann

The CDU party moved more left under Merkel, and now it's going even more to the left under Merz. The AfD is the only stable party that secures a safe future. Also, isn't Merz the one who keeps up the "Brandmauer" (Wall against the AfD to not show any coalition or partnership with them)? Quite weird..

  31. @Sandercrew1

German here, two things: Dont take Merz too seriosly in what he says. He is more a "try what people want to hear" kinda guy. He tried blaming Ukrainian Refugees for some stuff, it didn't work, people did not want to be angry at Ukrainians, so he stopped immediatly. The general Problem (and in most other countries) here is, that people are pissed because everything is getting worse for them. And all the parties are just trying to protect profits. This is a problem because all media is just buzzing up and down with migration shit, which could not be more irrelevant for the problems we're actually facing. Bro, simple stupidity will lead Germany in a new kind of facism. Sorry world.

  34. @moodomoi

    February 13, 2024 at 9:22 am

Wagenknecht's new party is supposed to be right-wing? Some of the statements in this video don't make any sense. Also, it's important to remember that the CDU had shifted widely to the left during Merkel's reign. They're just returning to default now, which is the political center. Of course, that implies them "moving right" (since the middle is right from the left).
