Most of today countries have smaller professional armies, while Russian equipment is more like designed for conscripts. Yes, it's realiable, but well trained soldiers can benefit from more advanced technology and you don't need that much of weapons for a smaller professional army. Russian rifles still don't even have bolt hold open and ergonomics is still like from 40s and that's just a one example.
Another problem is obviously that spare parts are not available anymore and Russia can't make enough weapons even for themselves, so you can't rely on them even when your country is more friendly to Russia.

Possibly yes. But let's face it: Mordor does not have enough arms to sell currently anyway. And they surely have a "no delivery in case we need all our stuff ourselves" option in the contracts.
We should wait what happens when the dust settles after the war.

You have subjective position on similar events. Russia invades Ukraine and Ukraine tries to get its land back, Russia is aggressor.. Armenia invades Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan tries to take it back after 20 years of preparation, Azerbaijan is aggressor. Armenia tries to use minority in Karabag to legitimize its invasion, but they invaded twice Karabag. Calling Azerbaijan’s battles in its borders against invadimg Armenian forces “agression” is the same as calling Ukrainian offensives against Russia in its own borders “aggression”.

Ha, isn't it obvious ? Russia is using all it capacity towards a war, a building a stock for possible escalation to full NATO conflict. Export is the last thing on its mind. The West on the other hand should find ways to increase its 155mm shell and HIMMAS rocket production. It's so un becoming of a superpower to be "out of ammo" in the middle of a conflict.

Putin’s invasion of Ukraine is a disaster on several levels. Russian oil sales are down , arm sales are down, demographics are down, and the economy is down.
@johnhehir508
February 13, 2024 at 3:41 am
Why are Russian arm sales down ,could it be because if you nation is at war you keep your own weapons production to fight the war,And make sure your enemy can not get its hands on your weapons so they can not analyse them 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🙉🙊🙈

China will be the leading arms producer by 2032 .India is been always buying cheap importer models of planes and tanks this goes back to 1960's.The scary part is that countries like Iran and Turkey both produce good quality and cheap arms and this will be a huge problems for countries like Russia,US,France and Germany.
Russia have good things to sell s-400 and new s-500 will be highly marketable same as t-90m tank and su-35 there is not shortage of buyers.The main problem for Russia is that their own military demand is very high due to the conflict in Ukraine and for the next couple years i doubt will be any significant deals made internationally .
US is the current leader in small arms market and f-16 and f-35 are good money makers but same as Russia,US is going into process of replacing old equipment and armaments there is been huge delays for orders dating back to 2008 from NATO members countries and other ailed countries.
France and Germany are on verge of difficult decision the arm industry is been slowing dying in both due to competition from US and China.Europeans ignored arms industry for very long time.
I been looking with interest what is happening with Samsung in South Korea and Japan both Asian nations are heavily investing in new production lines and war technology .Korea already producing a good quality and cheap alternatives of US equipment and Japan is developing their own fifth generation fighter which is more advance then anything in existence…
