   Very wrong for him to say Kane shouldn’t have taken second pen. There’s no one else on that pitch I would want to take a pen other than Kane.

   100% agree, I said before the 2nd penalty that Kane shouldn't be taking this one with his club GK and Kane almost always going to his left hand side. And no idea why Pickford is number 1 for England, he's been fine for England generally but he has some really scary moments. Ramsdale and Pope so far clear of Pickford its beginning to get a little ridiculous.

   I've never seen in my life a football team with more luck than this France national team. And the game against Morocco once again showed that way. Two goals from France on deflected balls to other french player that happened to be on the other side of the box and the ball went just that way. France just disappeared in the seconf half. And then the way France save the clean sheet with those missed opportunities by Morocco in the last minutes…..I mean….How much luck can a football team have? France just always plays counter attack using Mbapé and Dembelé speed. And then throwing the ball to Giroud like "lets see what happens". And that's it. France never dominates the games. They just don't want the possesion of the ball. They play football like Mourinho's Inter.

   He's right. Kane shouldn't have probably even taken the first penalty. Yes he's our designated pk taker, but he plays WITH lloris at Spurs, who probably practice penalty taking constantly so will know EXACTLY how Kane operates.

   More cluelessness from Southgate there, he's done wonders for us but his awful tactics and decisions when it comes to penalties has cost us yet again!

    And people seriously want to get rid of Southgate and return to this sort of garbage? This guy was as bad as we've seen for managing England at tournaments. Terrible team spirit, which all of the former players will tell you, appalling football and shocking results. He's really got a nerve to even comment on England's World Cup performance. Capello did nothing for England, except happily pocket a huge salary.

    everyone say about Kane but as a foreigner i think England level is not high level. orginally England has been a weak.
    that's why they don't have trophy
    for 60 years in world.
    they overrate their players and give millions money, see man utd and city, Grealish, and Lingard Sterling are C class
    most legends are foreigners in top 4 clubs.
    England is not Spain or Germany.
    you need to raise young players like Spain not foreigners like African or middle easten

    Kane shouldn't be blamed and it made total sense for him to take the 2nd pen. Southgate and his tactics are to blame. He gave grealish 1 minute of stoppage time to make an impact and his ordering of the penalty takers vs Italy was a joke

    If he had watched the game he might have noticed that Rashford wasn't on the pitch at the time. It was either Sterling (one open play penalty for England) or Maguire, good luck with that!
    This whole 'kane shouldn't have taken the second penalty' thing doesn't even work in hindsight.

    Honestly I thought Mount's cameo was awful. He was open with the ball and in typical fashion shoots from 30 yards away. The penalty he won was due to boneheadedness from Theo Hernandez. Apart from that Mount didn't do shite

    Capello's England also played too many long balls. Kane could have scored but didn't being wise after the event is not something I think is smart.

    England and the fans and media suffer from what i like to call the small club mentality phenomenon. It’s like when man united play a small club, say arsenal or southampton or something, and they play better than united but end up losing. After the game its always ‘but we played better than them, we had more possession and shots on target than the mighty man united, look at us!!!!’ Yh but you lost tho and united got the 3 points. This is what england suffer from, i am able to notice this well because pretty much every team that plays against united at some point suffers from this 😂😂😂😂

    Haven't watched this yet but will later. Having read the title though, what a eureka moment for me. I never even considered the lack of wisdom in giving that second pen to Kane (or the first for that matter!). Give it to someone else and you immediately remove the psychological impediment for the kicker facing his own club's keeper. I feel like this is something Southgate should've thought of.

    Southgate really needs to think about Kane being main striker. He is mostly never in the box. If the midfield is so weak that your main striker needs to go that deep then he needs to play better midfielders.
