UPDATE: VVD leader Dilan Yesilgöz-Zegerius has said VVD will not enter government, but could support a centre-right government in parliament on constructive proposals.

She said: “The big winners are the PVV and NSC. After thirteen years, a different role suits us. The voter also said: VVD, skip a round. But we will make a centre-right cabinet possible. We will support constructive proposals, so it is a form of tolerance."

Within about 4 or 5 months, Belgium will have elections(providing our "Vivaldi-government" doesn't fall before that); although the right and extreme-right is very purposely has been made "mouth-death" in the media and in a defence-tactic, the left-controlled media is trying to do their utmost best throwing dirt at the right-parties(wether or not it actually involves those parties), the right voters are very loyal and the right is gaining voters with every left-wing action that backfires(like a pro-palestinian protest-action during a FLEMISH SONGFEAST a few weeks ago, where a writer(with middle-eastern roots) abused her being hired by the city-counsil to bring a poem to this feast but instead turned up with several palestinian supporters, palestinian flags, banners with pro palestinian texts on it and anti-semitic cries in a feast which had absolutely NOTHING to do with what is happening in another part of the world, just ruining the festive atmosphere) I bet you that if there were Belgians present that evening who weren't sure which political party they were going to vote for in the coming elections, some of them won't hesitate anymore to vote for right or extreme-right!
Lucky for Belgium, it is divided into two large communities, the Wallonic part(South) being decisively left, the Flemish part(North) is turning more and more towards the right(the major cause of that is that the majority of immigration and political asylum-seekers go to the economical-richer North of the country instead of the South)… But as the elections in Holland showed, surprises DO happen in the political landscapes, no matter how deep you stick your head into the ground and believe it will all blow over…

Ladies and gentlemen, let's delve into the wizarding world of Dutch politics! Yes, I'm talking about the right wing party in the Netherlands, but this time, bringing a touch of magic to the mix with a Harry Potter twist.

Imagine, if you will, Geert Wilders, the leader of the right wing party, stepping into the political arena like he's about to duel Lord Voldemort himself. Complete with a cloak, a wand, and a grand entrance, ready to cast his spells of controversy and division. Wingardium "Extrahateum"!

But let's take a closer look at their policies. It's like they want to enforce the Statute of Secrecy, but instead of hiding wizards from Muggles, they want to hide their country from the rest of the world! "No, no, no, immigrants can't enter. We don't need to expand our magical community." Come on, folks. That's like Ron Weasley saying, "We don't need any more chocolate frogs or butterbeer."

And let's not forget their resistance to magic education for all, also known as inclusivity. It's like they want to limit the number of students allowed at Hogwarts, making it an elite magical institution exclusively for purebloods. They might as well hang a sign that says, "Students with Muggle-born parents, please exit through the Chamber of Secrets. Thank you."

But the best part is their fear, their fear of the unknown. The right wing party often fuels this fear, making it seem like every non-Dutch magical creature is out to steal their wands. They're like the Dolores Umbridge of politics, spreading paranoia and painting every immigrant or refugee as an evil dementor on the loose.

Now, in the wizarding world, we've got this awesome sorting hat that helps determine which house each student belongs to based on their values and personality. But guess what? The right wing party would probably have their own sorting hat that only recognizes the one acceptable house – "Pureblood only." It's as if having diverse ideas and backgrounds is more terrifying than facing a Hungarian Horntail in the Triwizard Tournament!

But here's the thing, my fellow witches and wizards, not everything revolves around fear, exclusion, and discrimination. Just like Harry Potter united the magical world to fight against dark forces, we can unite against the dark forces of bigotry and prejudice in our own society.

So, let's cast our spells of acceptance and compassion, let's summon the patronus charm of love and understanding, and let's remember that the magic of harmony and unity is more powerful than any unforgivable curse. After all, my friends, in the real world, love will always conquer hate, no matter how magical or non-magical we are.

Thank you, and remember, even if politics can sometimes feel like a Bludger to the face, let's keep hoping for a world where all houses, wizard and Muggle-born alike, can drink butterbeer together in peace. Goodnight, and may the magic of compassion be with you!

It bothers me that there's a need to explain things as if the right getting momentum seems to be unheard of. Yes, it's happening and mind you, it's only the beginning. Expect the entire Europe to turn to the right. Why? Simple. Because the left's policies have brought more havoc and instability. Illegal immigration is just one of them, but perhaps one of the most critical.

  15. @mydogsbutler

    February 14, 2024 at 12:15 pm

Geert isn't "right". He's FAR right. Not only does he use racist rhetoric against minorities (most notably Muslims) but is a pseudo-scientific crackpot that opposes action in the Netherlands against global warming.

Ok I'm confused. Geert Wilders won the last election or rather his party won the most seats in the recent snap election in November but every time I do a Google Search Who is the current Prime Minister of the Netherlands I get Mark Rutte. I thought Mark Rutte lost so why is he still there? Did I miss something? Or is he just a King now and elections don't matter?

People just tired from anarchy in all world. Muslims taking over all world, the biggest problem is Turks and Azerbaijan. Erdogan sending all over world Turkish and Azerbaijani people around world. Turk-Azerbaijan calling brothers, recently occupation Christian Armenians, taken over Artcakh. 100.000 Armenian left his own territory. In 1990, Azers was killing and destroy Armenians in Baku, Sumgait…". Turkey and Azerbaijan very dangerous for Christians. Both countries build a TURAN.

  43. @basmienis

    February 14, 2024 at 12:15 pm

Basically this happened due to 12+ years of failed policies, fraud and scams by the centere and left parties… people are struggling and they promised the people constantly change however that never happened….. Wilders PVV was already the second biggest in the last elections… this should have been a warning to the other parties that they are not aligning with the peoples problems and struggles…. if they did their job over the last 12+ years we would not have a far right party been elected as the biggest party in the Netherlands
