However, since the Ukraine crisis there’s talk they could join… talk which has made Putin very unhappy. That agreement is still valid. Finland's leaders has lied to the citizens of finland. I heard that this is valid just few days ago. It has been a very much a secret in finland.

There are a few serious considerations NOT mentioned here so far;
In these uncertain times, each country SHOULD firstly look out for risk to their OWN people as an absolute priority!!
Indeed we do have a MORAL obligation to maybe help other countries, BUT this should never be at the expense of our own country of origin!!
(If you do not agree at this point then I am confused regarding your loyalties)?
For the UK we had BIG words from 'Boris the Buffoon'! …SO I ask those here now within the UK; Do you know or can even quantify the RELIABILTY of our 'ANTI' Nuclear Defence System in place ?In fact Russia COULD rain down on us within a 20 minute time period? So far (and I am not an expert) my research says WE ARE NOT COVERED for such an attack? Our technology cannot take out ALL nuclear missiles from such an attack!
'So by pocking the Bear and rattling the Saber in a macho way['?, this will scare off Putin? YOU ARE sadly mistaken! Occupation of Ukraine by Russia was always a forgone conclusion. It was only ever a matter of time!
By our politicians in the UK offering training, arms and fighter jets to the Ukraine, we almost become the biggest adversary to Russia!
They will indeed soon respond likewise and put the UK on a direct hit list for the most powerful Nuclear arsenal that could ever be conceived?
Our trust in our Governments pathetic ability to understand the flashback of their military decisions is beyond belief?
I believe and to some degree support our Military Advisors. But sadly they are at the whim of a very stupid and inexperienced government.
Indeed we all go and get our shopping and carry on with life as best as possible each and every day. Hoping that things will turn out OK?
Sadly the clock is now ticking and time is running short?

The only entities that need to fear Russia's threats of serious military consequences are those who are smaller and weaker than Russia. The only strength that the Rus have are the number of bodies they can throw out as cannon fodder.
That being said, Trump buddied up with Putin and wanted to kaibosh NATO. What a great fool he is. This, for me, shows more than anything else what a shortsighted moon calf he is.

Finland and Sweden should not join NATO. Other defence models are possible. Marin is too young to be making decisions like this. Russia has been provoked into invading Ukraine since 2014. The West has used the Ukraine as a battering ram to anger Russia since then. What does this have to do with Finland and Sweden ?

The current Ukraine situation puts NATO membership in a much starker light. Is not just that NATO WONT help you against Russia, is that by not being a NATO meme, we CAN'T.
It you want to ride the fence, don't expect others to jump over it.
Plus, the Russian edict that you CAN'T join NATO is essentially equivalent go saying, "you can't defend yourselves from us if we want to invade you", which is not a legitimate request to make of anyone.
And if any non-NATO EU country allows Russia access to their land or airspace for military purposes, I'd expect NATO, not to mention the US, to go ape-shit.
This neutrality deal is from a different era, it no longer acceptable in the modern world.
Join while you can, because if a Russian vehicle comes in your territory, the door is shut until they leave. Just ask the pleading, BLEEDING Ukrainians.

Nato is a big sham. These countries together with Ireland proved that Nato is unnecessary. I’m from Romania and remembered how our military had no choice but to assist America in Afganistan and other Middle Eastern countries they invaded. The Army in any country is one of the most corrupt institution so I can’t imagine the level of corruption in NATO.
