A critical error looms large in this video. Giuseppe Conte wasn't a technocrat; he ascended to power alongside the 5 Star Movement (M5S) as the proposed minister for Public Administration. His pivotal role in the election rally propelled M5S to triumph in 2018, boasting an approval rate nearly 10 points higher than Fratelli D'Italia in the previous election.

M5S operates by empowering competent figures and activists to propose their candidacy through open internal elections before the national polls. Therefore, Conte was anything but a technocrat.

One of the many reason he and the M5S are hated by the seasoned politicians who are more attuned to maneuvers resembling a House of Cards drama to obtain power, figures like Meloni, Renzi, Salvini, and the majority of Italy's most prominent politicians across parties. These individuals, wielding influence over a significant share of the media, colluded to undermine M5S and Conte. Recognizing M5S as a hyper-conscientious force prioritizing Italy's future over mere survival, they exploited the fall of Conte II amidst the ongoing pandemic. This resulted in a faction of M5S joining an emergency coalition, introducing Draghi, a true technocrat endorsed by the media, as prime minister. The intention was to cast M5S as part of the establishment. Meanwhile, Fratelli d'Italia, a minuscule party, was arbitrarily hailed as the sole opposition, despite not genuinely opposing Draghi. Instead, Draghi commenced sabotaging popular M5S reforms. This left M5S in a puzzling position, obstructed from defending its remarkable reforms within the government, hoping this collaboration would preserve them. However, they were consistently blackmailed while other parties advocated for the sabotage, perplexing the average Italian who subsequently abstained from the next election.

Significantly, the 26% of votes in the 2022 Brothers of Italy election originated from an election where approximately 40% of Italians abstained—the country's lowest voter turnout in a national election. Meloni and Draghi had an opportunity to leverage the positive legacy inherited from Conte I and II's administrative successes. As your graph at 3:20 illustrates, Conte fostered growing trust in institutions, defying all odds. However, palace intrigue disrupted that upward trend, and the murky practices of the Meloni government further distanced the populace from politics.

If Conte or any M5S members had committed errors or false declarations similar to the most insignificant ones the Meloni government is currently making, it would have immediately become the central focus of investigation for all journals, both left-wing and right-wing, dominating headlines for days. This coverage would have delved into the most intricate aspects of any topic, searching for a spin capable of portraying it as an existential menace for humanity. Frankly, it would be laughable if it hadn't seriously damaged Italians' ability to stay truly informed and maintain an unbiased judgment.

On the flip side, Meloni's party's fraudulent claims are, at the very least, praised and staunchly defended by the larger faction of the media. This side, employing irrelevant polarizing questions as an echo chamber, effectively obscures the truth and the real problems at hand. Despite this glaring double standard, Conte remains widely loved, perhaps even more so than Meloni.

I anticipate Meloni focusing on attacking Conte even more, akin to what Renzi and Salvini have done before, as he embodies the real, elegant underdog enemy for all those leader pumped by a void hype.

The most popular leader is Viktor Orbán. Fact. His party with his leadership has been in power for thirteen consecutive years and another four years earlier on. They have won two-third majority in the last three elections so they can govern without coalition. He is the longest serving prime minister in the EU. Show me just one party or leader who comes even close!!!

8:00 a little note on that, if Meloni succesfully changes the constitution the current term will keep on going with the current constitution, the changes will be effective starting with the next term, she has to be reelected with a completely different voting system that also introduces ballots, it's a stretch to say that she us doing it to have more power, the next president might be someone else
