Balkans will be great again as well as Middle East, if they stop serving foreign policies for everything. And the West and the East want the centre of the World, because those which rule the center, rule the world. I'm bulgarian, but for me hungarians, serbians, macedonians, romanians, iranian, iraqi and almost all middle eastern people we are one. I can't explain you what an effort foreign policies put to separate us from very long time. We need not only of Balkan, but a Balkan + Middle East Union. I don't mind to call myself romanian, serbian, macedonian, hungarian, iranian (bulgarians are specificly iranian), iraqi, but for sure I will not call myself roman (EU – roman empire) or russian (USSR, russian empire), their agenda is same as before, until nowadays. The most annoying thing is they want to inforce us to adopt their beliefs and understanding about life, but all empires fall exactly when they do that, especially because balkan and middle eastern people are very different from the others, chinese also. You can't integrate us so easy, our nations and countries are old as much as the world is old and our power is exactly in our traditions and beliefs, which the West and russians adopt partly, but not fully understand over all these centuries.
"United we are strong, separated we fall"- ancient phrase of our people.

i am from the balkans but for the nordic system is the best respectively and i hope we can recreate something like that.the balkans need to be united . from slovenia to turkey . we have similar cultures what divides us nowerdays is powers from the east and west. we are the path from asia to europe and europe and asia if we do something we can honestly do so so much. starting with helping the middle east and allowing them to take back their governance in which when we do that we have a very very powerful ally and a loyal one aslong as we dont cinsider screwing them over every time.another thing is instead of eu getting cheap products from us and now that we got the middle east om our side (that is if the first thing goes to plan) we can thrn become the exporter off western europe which will see us have more money, another thing is the black sea. which russia also control. if we manage to get a better strong hold off it we get russia on our finger tip and essentually also push more power on the black sea but also have anither way to export stuff into asia. the meditarenean sea is another thing which greece and turkey coukd work towards on being able to control . there is loads of potential and i just dont think people have realise just what our location is and how much potential we have thanks to it. to more growth my neighbours with friendly greetings from bulgaria !

Open balkans it means new YUGOSLAVIA. creating geto in middle of Europe , also mean making russia happy keeping western balkans away from European Union , and EU trade with RUSSIA billions and billions. Winston CHURCHILL SAID POLITIC IS INTERES. thank you for reading my comment.

-Оh, a state formed by south Slavs of different religions couldn't succeed? Lets try to make another one, but now we will include Albanians also.
That''s basically trying to put out a fire with gasoline.

This will never happen as the Croatian Constitution forbis any kind of "united Slavic state" from including them ever again. Plus with the tension between Albania+Kosovo and Serbia, the imminent dissolution of Bosnia, and Croatia's and Slovenia's EU membership a major Balkan country will never be achieved again.

Any kind of Union with current Serbia is a one way trip to conflict and ultimately war, they do not disavow Milosheviches regime or his greater Serbian ideology…modern Serbia is like having a union with an alternate history Germany that denies Holocaust and claims ww2 is "everyones fault"…

This could be the first meaningful step towards peaceful reconciliation that we've seen in the Balkans since the 1990s. The problem is that Serbia has been moving deeper and deeper in a nationalist direction and is increasingly pro-Russia. Should anyone work with them on anything at present? I don't know that it is smart to reward that government.

  30. @robotube7361

The BAlkans cant be united because it is against the interests of the GReat powers.

Its not just USA. Russia and CHIna and the EU dont want a strong big country there.

The BAlkans is very important strategically because it is the only place on Earth where 3 continents are closest to eachother – ASIA AFRICA and EUROPE.

Every Empire that controled the Balkans was unstoppable because all trade routes pass on the BAlkans.

Such a unified Balkans country would be posing a huge threat to Russia the EU and US and even Chinese trade interests.

This is why all these powers are fighting to have a big influnce over the Balkans and its no coincidence Russia and USA have one of the biggest military bases outside their borders in the BAlkans.

Who doesnt understand geostrategy, wouldnt understand why The Balkans is in the way it is. Nationalism, ethnic tensions are all result of big powers financing these radical groups to create chaos and hatred.

it is proven that these people can live together under the same roof without any incidents when the central government is strong like in the Case of the Austro Hungarian and Ottoman Empires.

Every single war on the Balkans was caused by an outside influence.

The rebellions against the ottomans started because of Russian meddling and sponsoring and supply of weapons. The break up of the Austro HUngarian Empire also was caused by outside powers and a lost war. The BReak up of Yugoslavia was ALSO caused by US and EU interference. Its not the people themselves who live there. It have always been outside interference and sponsoring rebellions from outside

God f**** bless, I hope this s*** works, I'm a Serb in Bosnia, grew up in America, Every country in the balkans that used to be a part of Yugoslavia and Albania are a f**** dumpster fire compared to Europe and America. People are f**** broke they make €800 a month and think it's a good salarie, there's no infrastructure, no highway system that connects the country it is a f**** joke. The fact of the matter is all these countries are better off together, working together to benefit their people and populations instead of being used as pawns by America, Europe and Russia. Alone they don't have a f**** chance of being heard or there decisions respected by the great powers for what is best for their people. Do you really think America gives a f*** about Kosovo 🇽🇰 🤔, They only give a f*** about Kosovo because Serbia is pro Russia, And they want to put that pressure on Serbia 🇷🇸 . If that wasn't the case they would abandon Kosovo like they did Afghanistan. If there was a Yugoslavia As a serb I would rather vote for a Albanian president that's for all the people then then a serb that's just for the serbs. 🇦🇱🇲🇰🇧🇦🇽🇰🇷🇸🇲🇪 🖕🇪🇺🖕
They s*** on us demand us to beg and give us crumbs off their table and expect those to be happy with it.

Balkan countries are poor and have low education levels compared to Europe. They are constantly migrating to the west and they have many problems within themselves. Moreover, they absolutely hate each other. It is not possible in the long run for these countries to improve their own situation, but also to rein in their hatred for each other and establish a pragmatist union.

This will never happen, I don't even need to watch the video to know, and I didn't. The Balkans don't want a superstate, the Balkans don't need a superstate. Anyone saying "le nationalism is dumb" doesn't understand the Balkans. You can't and won't understand 600+ years of history and hatred from an 8 minute video on YouTube. You're not enlightened. Stop being a meme of Americans and go back to Reddit.
