Kosovo is an occupied and stolen province of Serbia.

    That's why.

Because the conflict should never have been resolved the way it was. How much tragedy should there be before the world realizes that carving up countries is not the answer? Unless all sides agree to it, one country's secession is another country's humiliation, and the latter country, however guilty, will never come around to it. Not everyone is like Germany.

You cant stop people from self determination it's a human right no agreement takes precedence. As for Bosnian constitution seperatism was also against the Yugoslav constitution and that didnt stop the collapse openly aided by the West !!

Photo at 1:34 is from Bosnian war, not from Kosovo war. Without getting into what did and did not happen in Kosovo (sure there are fired up fools on each side), this is misrepresentation of history. You are teaching people about conflict, and cannot even tell apart Bosnian insignia from Kosovar/Albanian. I like to think it wasn't intentional, but it surely isn't good enough.

это так несправедливо по отношению к Сербии! Когда западные страны напали на Югославию и таким образом разделили Югославию, Косово было сербской землей, которую нельзя было отделить от нынешней, и она была разделена.

In the 1990s, there was serious talk that the US should abolish its military bases in Germany, just as the Soviet Union had done. The military presence in Germany gave the USA influence over German and European politics, and the USA did not want to give it up. Bombing Serbia and supporting the creation of Kosovo enabled the creation of a military base, the second largest in Europe, in case the US was forced to leave Germany. That is why the USA exerted pressure to recognize the state of Kosovo, where they built a base at a time when it officially belonged to Serbia.

I see so many comments "Kosovo is not a country" or fascist calls "Kosovo is Serbia" or Kosovo does not deserve to be independent or even making comparisons with other world-wide cases. Well, whoever has doubt if Kosovo is country or not, they can come and visit and see how independent it is. Long live Republic of Kosovo, land of so many martyrs, the latest police officer Afrim Bunjaku killed in a heinous attack by serbian drug dealer terrorists on september 24th.🇽🇰🇽🇰🇽🇰

When I first saw this video, I was ready to listen to some propaganda bullshit against Serbia, but this guy was pretty objective, which all the others should be about situations like this. There's a freaking LOT going on there and we could talk about it for days.

The point is: neither Vučić or Kurti have clean hands. Both have been involved in conflicts recently and all at the expense of local Serbs who suffer pressure from both sides for past few years, if not decades I would say. Yeah, from both sides, Albanian and Serbian.

I speak this as a someone who lives there and I know that people here are tired of all of this, of both Vučić and Kurti, of the reppresion of Kosovo policemen and special forces, of every politican who's trying to represent us as a key problem in Kosovo and as a terrorists. The reality is MUCH different, most of the people here barely make ends meet.

Some Albanians are saying that we deserve all of this because of what we did to them in the 90s. They somehow forget that they did the same too, most notably the KLA organization and their monstrosities. And I wouldn't go back to the 90s since we are already in the 21st century and it's time to move on and to change things.

Personally, I would like to see Kosovo to be under Serbian control like before, but with high autonomy for Kosovo Albanians. I'm pretty sure that people, other than Serbs, would hate that option and I'm ready fot hate comments. But if Kosovo were to be under Serbian control again, with the condition that no further pressure is exerted on the Kosovo Albanians and that high autonomy is granted to the Kosovo Albanians, since they make almost 90% of the population, I think it would be a good idea. We all could be much more than just a country of drugs, poverty and crime. It would be very hard, considering the power of mafia from both sides, but I believe we all could achieve something more than this.

I'm open to other intelligent opinions.

  27. @ammornil

    February 17, 2024 at 8:35 am

I am Bulgarian. Kosovo is part of Serbia. If the Albanian population of Kosovo do not like it, there's always Albania to go to. Kosovo has never been a Republic within Yugoslavia. Same way we do not support separatism in Bascia and Catalunya, we shall not support separatism in Serbia. There must be consistency in our positions.

man people in the west have truly lost all reasoning huh, people really watch youtube shorts and say ”ah yes, facts” and they always have a sense of winning arguments for some reason, but i bet not one of them knows jack shit about how elections in Serbia And america are rigged to the point that even our head of church is doing nothing to protect Serbs in kosovo, the protests in Belgrade and all that are doing nothing, if the people hear that the church is calling for protests they would sign up in up in larger numbers, but too bad our president and government gave up their country for their own cash and we can only hope now.

  32. @levitate9274

    February 17, 2024 at 8:35 am

How do you call this? Theres been about 700.000 Serbs living in Kosovo…and during the 80s the SR Serbia government opened the border for Albanians taking refuge from Enver Hoxha regime there. It is estimated that about 700.000 Albanians fled to Kosovo as Albania had about 4m population back in the 80.

So they come to Kosovo, and they then start claiming the territory as if it was theirs for centuries, when in fact the Ottoman defters from 14th and 15th century state that there were about 120.000 Serbs living in Kosovo at that time and virtually NO ALBANIAN. NOT A SINGLE ONE! They have been living in Albanian mountains hiding from the Ottomans.

That being said 93% of villages and towns in Kosovo still hold Serb names.

Kosovo in Albanian doesn't mean anything. But in Serbian language it means the LAND OF THE BLACKBIRD. The Albanians somehow stole that too from Serbs. It's just a fucking disgrace.

They did virtually to Serbs what Israelis did to Palestinians. But the problem is Serbs will never back down.

Albanians have no clue what awaits for them once the NATO pulls back.

Nothing and nobody can stop the Serbs of literally storming Kosovo. Nothing.

  33. @michuga

    February 17, 2024 at 8:35 am

When EU and US come and say “This is not a part of your country anymore “ and then go on and say “ Find a peacfull solution” , it shows how diconected they are. They should have made an effort of peacefull solution while keeping Kosovo a part od Serbia.

There is a pretty obvious deal that the West could make with Serbia: If Serbia recognises Kosovo, then Republika Srpska gets to leave Bosnia. Majority-Serb areas should also be given an opportunity to secede from Kosovo and rejoin Serbia.

I don't know if the Serbian government would accept such a deal, but until the West makes such an offer the Serbs can correctly say they are being subjected to double-standards.

Our mission is to explain news and politics in an impartial, efficient, and accessible way, balancing import and interest while fostering independent thought.

TLDR is a completely independent & privately owned media company that’s not afraid to tackle the issues we think are most important. The channel is run by a small group of young people, with us hoping to pass on our enthusiasm for politics to other young people. We are primarily fan sourced with most of our funding coming from donations and ad revenue. No shady corporations, no one telling us what to say. We can’t wait to grow further and help more people get informed. Help support us by subscribing, engaging and sharing. Thanks!
