The king of Sweden don't have a clue of what he's talking about 🙄He don't know a thing about how the Swedish society works so we shouldn't care much about what he's saying,it's just so called mouth diarrhea💩💩💩💩

And now 2022 we know that Sweden did the right thing by being less strict and not locking the whole country down.

Of course, Sweden failed. Math doesn't lie…

With a population of only 10,234,068, Sweden has (at the time of writing) 19,779 Covid deaths. That works out to a per capita death rate of 1,933 per one million population…well above the world average of 831.5 Covid deaths per one million population.

China, with a population of 1,439,323,776, has 5,226 Covid deaths for a per capita rate of 4 per one million population . China's lockdown strategy was a smashing success.

This is blatant misinformation. Nowadays, Sweden is being hailed as a fantastic model and John Hopkings university has conclusive evidence that lockdowns were ineffectual against COVID and a disaster for the economy.

The swedish king is just a talking head with the purpose of adding prestige, he has no say in swedish politics nor a seat in our government.
therefore his statements are irrelevant, the issue we have with surging deaths is the huge amount of unhealthy people that are kept ''functional'' via the healthcare system.
Not to mention our population is old on average.

These people in normal instances can live normal lives but with covid on top they have a much reduced chance chance of survival, most of our dead are those that the rest of the world would have allowed to die long ago outside of covid.

Context matters and as always with covid people only pick what media cherrypicks.

There are countries – like Peru – where hard lockdowns failed dismally, far worse than in Sweden. Yet they won't be talked about or covered in videos like Sweden or Brazil.

  18. @vladimpaler3498

    February 19, 2024 at 3:10 pm

Lockdowns only prolong the crisis and delay the deaths. It would be better to have no restrictions and instead subsidize vitamin D and Zinc supplements. When people get sick, severe cases can add Ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine per doctor's orders and formulated for humans. In this way the virus ripples through the populace causing real resistance. Then it is all over.

Btw if Sweden had 10 cases per million that means only 100 cases. Sweden only has 10 million people.

  22. @yeonmeng4054

hundred of thousands of H&M and Gap Factory Workers are Abused and sexually assault daily. H&M and Gap have been singled out in the two reports from Global Labour Justice, highlighting the daily reality of forced rapes faced by their female garment workers across factories in Asia, The factories are based in Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka. The noted abuse includes rape, slapping, kicking, and forced to eat dog shits, even was murdered. The undercover operation found that thousands of child refugees were paid less than £1 an hour and frequently harassed and allegedly raped when required. Both Sweden's governments and H&M Helena Helmersson condemned gender violence, stating that discrimination was against their values. and warned that if the employees dare to complain or to split out the news will face immediate termination. This is a very good example that Sweden had achieved extra miles in a new chapter of human rights.

As someone who is actually Swedish, I am absolutely ashamed at the government. I understand what is happening, but I also believe that the approach without a lockdown was wrong. It also shocks me that they try to recognize their mistakes and fix it. Unfortunately, they were TOO LATE!!! They did not even have robust entry restrictions including tests required before arrival in Sweden for all travellers regardless of where they came from (Even Swedish Citizens and those fully vaccinated) as well as any isolation measures (Even for fully vaccinated travellers). I found that out the hard way when travelling to Sweden. Shame on Stefan Löfven and the Swedish Government.

Israel has roughly the same population as sweden but has 850k total cases (but only 6500 deaths) and in the us 1 of 10 people got covid so swedens numbers dont sound that high

  26. @darthbigred22

    February 19, 2024 at 3:10 pm

14k out of 10 million is hardly a fail Carl…I'd take a 99.86% chance of survival anyday vs America who did lockdown who had 606K out of 356M with a 99.82% chance of survival.

  27. @josephstalin7389

Nah it just how many case to death ratio pretty much every country has it the same

  28. @clairemagnuson2729

    February 19, 2024 at 3:10 pm

Wow, that’s a sham of a health agency. And it’s insane that they’re independent. I’m at least not surprised when politically affiliated health policies are stupid. But those scientists and public health experts should be ashamed of themselves. And replaced. Viruses have the potential to evolve wildly – it’s no surprise that there are many covid variants. We have a huge population on earth that encourages the continual spread of the virus. And we’ve known that the virus has been transmitted in an airborne fashion since spring 2020. Honestly, none of those take even a science degree to understand. And yet that health agency fucked up that badly. It’s pathetic honestly

  29. @JustAGuyWhoLikesStuff.

    February 19, 2024 at 3:10 pm

Is it just me who wishes the whole world would have fully locked down for a few weeks and thus stop the virus from spreading and then working to open up everywhere there isn't any Corona instead of waiting for the virus to appear and only then lockdown?

  30. @kaiserwicker397

No lockdown is great I live here in Sweden I love it I don't think it failed :>]

  31. @suegag7320

Sweden has more population then rest of Nordic country. Sweden has the best health care system and people trust own leader. They can offered stay home illness without financial deficiency and awareness their part of responsibility for fighting virus spread.
Swedish strategy allows more people built antibodies in natural way and this epidemic will be care on in different wave of those used artificial vacation. ..Swedish way is the best

  32. @alexboeve59

    February 19, 2024 at 3:10 pm

Okay… but Belgium, with it's hard lockdown has almost twice the number of casualties compared to Sweden, with a comparable number of inhabitants. Where's your 3 videos on them?

  33. @zetorrec

    February 19, 2024 at 3:10 pm

you cant have new cases of infection when everyone is infected

  34. @wilma8326

    February 19, 2024 at 3:10 pm

Why has Sweden failed when they did the same on dead rate as countries with heavy lockdowns? I would argue that the lockdowns have failed

  35. @TaK3ReflexzZz

    February 19, 2024 at 3:10 pm

You undermine your own analysis. It is the care homes disaster that led to such a high death toll, not lack of lockdown. Very interesting that, looking at death rates, you only compare Sweden to a couple of its neighbours. Belgium, the United Kingdom, Italy, the United States, Portugal, Spain, France – all have used lockdowns and all have higher death rates. Japan is in a similar situation, having not locked down and doing significantly better than countries that did. Lockdowns don't work, and what's more they destroy societies. It's kind of apt that English politicians seem to invoke the blitz spirit in their demagoguery about Coronavirus – their lockdowns have unleashed a cataclysm comparable to the War, from which we will be suffering deeply for decades to come. Further we sink, giggling, into the sea…

  36. @johnybravo5667

    February 19, 2024 at 3:10 pm

Sweden is 9th in Europe by case per capita ratio and 18th by death ratio. Tell me about Sweden's failure..

  37. @Dan19870

    February 19, 2024 at 3:10 pm

I remember hearing that countries in central Europe, most notably Germany, were locking down and I was hoping that my country would follow suite within days, if not hours. I then heard about the Swedish experiment and my reaction was along the lines of 'this has to be a really bad joke' and 'are they serious.' IIRC the UK also initially wanted to go down the herd immunity route from contracting COVID, but several bodies posted fatality figures and the government to made a U-turn.

The plan would've worked if the populace would follow the guidelines strictly through the period of 1 – 2 years. However to put that responseability on a population of around 10 million was the biggest misstake.

    February 19, 2024 at 3:10 pm

Lets bring another stats, how many people are currently waiting for the treatment in Sweden for non covid related issues? In the UK we have nearly 5 million people awaiting treatment. Sometimes we have to balance the losses, you cannot save everyone.
