I would like more in depth information about the agreements in the EU on this matter. This video makes it sound we are just one big country called the EU. It isnt. The members granted the EU power on some issues, but not many and I think they didn't include a unified vacine purchase. So probably part of what you told is only a recommendation from the commission to its members. And the unified purchase has probably required all 27 countries to vote? Did all join? Was it part off the covid support package? Did we already give the EU the power to buy billions worth off vacines? Nothing in this video about how it happened, just that it happens.

This is all good, but the problem would be to get antivaxxers, covidiots, essential oil community and the conspiracy nutters to participate in the vaccination programm…
These people are information, elightenment, knowledge and fact resistant, you can't get through to them, why else where there measle outbreaks? We had nearly killed them (measles) off for good, we can do it, best example polio, but they actively do their worst and go out of their way to spit in other peoples faces (sometimes even literarily) and thwart their efforts.

Should we not test the vaccines for 5 or more years before we vaccinate most people?
There are some high risk people which may benefit from getting it earlier before complete testing. If slowly more and more people come into the circle of people where the benefit outweighs the risk, as we have more data and the risk gets lower and lower, we can vaccinate the people over a long period of time, over years, and so it is a lot easier.

Since the UK is no longer part of the EU, they don't get the vaccine that way. Which means that the EU should implement a travel ban on the UK to keep their covid cases to spread in Europe until they solve the covid issue within the UK themselves.

Lots of people are dying annually from influenza(more from influenza than corona), yet we do not wear masks or lockdown our cities because of it. Also, decades of vaccinations haven't done jack & shit for reducing influenza deaths. Do you expect a virus to just disappear? Also, there are so many other coronaviruses that have existed with us for an eternity…they are never going away.

I think you meant "deployment" rather than "development" at the beginning of the video (referencing the recommendation report). I think a centralized approach is the only hope we have. If we don't do this, we're going to end up with each country fighting all the other countries to get supplies for their own people. Just like the states in the US are already doing.

Nothing said about the most challenging logistical aspect of distributing a vaccine which has to be stored at temperatures as low as minus 80 degrees centigrade. And BTW 300 million doses are sufficient for 150 millions of people.
