1 to 7. 😂. 30-40,000 Russian deaths and 400-500,000 Ukrainian deaths in Bakhmut alone. Get educated from real sources not CNN.

At this point the real question is whether the Russian forces around Bakhmut should retreat. Funny how much the situation can change in just a week.

I think Ukraine is quite simply trying to egg Wagner group on. Build up their ego so that it conflicts with the Russian command, potentially causing Wagner group to either give up and go home (no longer having to deal with Wagner group is a big deal, and would shake the Russian defenses on the eastern front), or causing Wagner group to potentially betray Putin and try to replace him.

Sorry but, where do you get your information that:
1. The Russians are using human wave tactics
2. The Russian army is suffering more casualties than the Ukrainians?

Repeating the lie that Wagner and Russians losing more soldiers than Ukraine is lie…
The entire Wagner is 45,000 who fought in Bhakmuth city where Ukrainians got more than 100,000 casualties.
Wagner is still holding line with less no of troops.
Human waves are lie… The only Russian wave is Artillery wave… All the deaths Re caused by artillery when they don't even see the enemy.
Wagner is effective on the batt

If they retreat from Bakhmut, it allows russian artillery to move forward. Then next thing you know, Chasiv Yar is a wasteland just like Bakhmut. Holding Bakhmut prevents this.

💡This is why in the "olden days" the military regardless of where they were from and what war it was thought that maybe it would be a good idea NOT to share every freaking move their troops were making or to broadcast to the entire world the coordinates of their next move. Oh, they also didn't make announcements that they're completely out of ammo and half their troops are dead! 🙄

Wagners are not stupid and they won't attack blindly coz they know for 8 bloody years those contact lines were ENFORCED. Do not be misled by wagners slow advance coz they want the ukranian to think they are weak or helpless. They will strike when the enemy least expected and what a gruesome scene it will be.
@OhNotThat
February 21, 2024 at 8:06 am
I am somewhat convinced that Bahkmut is an operational diversion and distraction for an accumulating small to medium scale counter-offensive towards Mauripol and Meltipol thats in the works right now. Ukraine wants to desperately accumulate a comparative advantage/superiority in working artillery and armor before they begin that offensive however. Some Spring or Summer 2023 counter offensive is being organized/stockpiled in the meantime. That's why Ukraine wants artillery shells, more tanks and drones (for air superiority) right now more than anything else.

Amazing how Putin wanted Bakhmut by february 24 to claim a symbolic victory, but one month later they are still claiming they are winning but haven't taken the city
@jamescobban857
February 21, 2024 at 8:06 am
You cannot win a war, or indeed achieve any worthwhile objective, without taking risks. Ukraine still controls all of the high ground around Bakhmut, including Chasiv Yar. This means that Ukrainian artillery and intelligence is superior. If Russia does seize Bakhmut this means that it will be strategically useless: they will not be able to advance on Slovyansk and Kramatorsk because every square metre of the lines of advance is under Ukrainian supervision. Furthermore Ukraine will not withdraw its forces without leaving Bakhmut as one of the most heavily mined areas of the conflict zone. On the other hand once Russia obtains nominal control of Bakhmut it can reduce the concentration of its attacking forces, which will permit redeploying them to other areas of the frontier. Ukraine is certainly planning some very nasty surprises, and hopes that its attacks meet minimal defences. Ukraine is playing chess while Russia is playing checkers.

Ukraine could withdraw from Bakmut, let the Russians have it. Then use missiles and bombs to terrorize the Russians. Just give them hell.
