So! It seems that some people are frustrated by the framing of this video. I do understand the dispute, especially with the use of the word 'crisis' and as such we've removed it from the title and thumbnail. We do also agree that having a 'leader' isn't necessary or even expected within the EU, but we do still feel that the lack of clear figurehead is unusual in the modern history of the EU and something which deserves discussion. If you disagree that's entirely fair enough, but we'll be discussing why we wanted to make this video in Friday's edition of The Editorial, where we'll be able to better discuss our thought process than in a pinned comment: https://www.youtube.com/tldrpodcasts

It is not only Europe who has no leader in the capacity of leadership but to all countries in the world at this time.
The leaders at very micro level who has no vision for the wellbeing of all citizens in the world we are living.

why are you getting confused with the EU and the continent of Europe. Europe is 46 countries the EU is 24 who gave the EU the power to talk for the continent of Europe ? the Non EU countries need to become a Non-aligned group and take on the EU and its dictatorial policy's

The EU is utterly exposed and conflicted over Ukraine. The idea that Macron or Scholtz could lead any credible coalition against Russia is plain risible.

In the country I live in (after first freeing ourselves from the Evil Union) it should definitely be Putin! He's the only one that has mastered not only the art of running a country, he can also make words into real, eloquent sentences that are coherent and have meaning. You point to the European leader who can do that. … …. …. I'm waiting.

.. these leaders merely make their domestic politics in their own countries.. all the time there is some elections going on inside EU area keeping them slightly busy.. f.ex. Olaf Scholz's reactions of gas, industry and commercial matters create an idea of him playing with two cards.. Angela Merkel was acting more open in politics and could make and negotiate better political results with the others.. the EU Parliament unfortunately is slightly slow in making decisions but this isn't about 'cos of it's higher officials but about the fact of consensus needed.. Ursula von der Leyen works for the EU more forcefully with huge affectivity than many men..

When it comes to the invasion of the Ukraine against Russia we have no leadership in North America when it comes to the US and Canada and we have no leadership in Europe. Why is the Western World so freaking weak and stupid right now? We would rather be talking about gender pronouns and some stupid Dutch girl believes that the end is near because we're not talking about global warming enough then fight the Russians who is our geopolitical enemy
@dinaldcurchod3296
February 22, 2024 at 12:24 am
The EU and UK and the UN are weak and cowardly. They should be giving Ukraine much more support. It’s only the much greater US support that has stopped Russia overrunning Ukraine.
