Romania and Moldova have a long and extensive history together. They have similar languages, culture and history. So is that enough to help them unify? Some want that to happen, but others are resistant to the plan… so could it happen?

The answer is simply unite and then break when the day russia has a full democratic system since the threat will be always there under this kremlin regime.

What, where do these conversations even come from, why should Moldova join Romania, because we have similar languages??????
Moldova is an independent state with its own borders, language, culture, traditions, which was created in 1359, in which people spoke not Romanian, but Moldavian, in historical chronicles it is said that Stefan the Great spoke Moldavian language… when Romania formed in 1859.
I have nothing in common with the Romanians except the language, and I am not Romanian, I am Moldovan, I have nothing in common with those who fought against us on the side of the Ottoman Empire and tried to take us over.
All this talk about a reunion is just dust that has no basis, it will never happen.
We would rather join Ukraine than Romania. And I wish all supporters of unification to pack their bags, go to Romania and forget about Moldova.

As a Romanian let me tell you: It's not going to happen.
Many Moldavians are pro-russia, I've been in Chisinau and I was shocked by how many people refused to talk in Romanian.

Second, as Moldavia is poorer than Romania, we also have our economic struggles and having Moldavia merged with Romania means a huge negative economic impact, not talking about investments for improving infrastructure and such. Again, not gonna happen.

Lastly, who is sane in mind renouncing in power in Chisinau just to abandon their seat for Romanians to governate on Moldavia?

Just a minority or Romanians, those nationalistic mostly dream of unification, the majority as I do, don't.
We however sustain Moldavia joining as a sovereign state in EU membership.

Clearly NO! If East Germany was such an unabsorbable shock for West Germany that only after 30 years it seems to work, then Romania would be drawn way back by such a sudden shock! The Republic of Moldavia should be aided to develop and emancipate on its own, integrated into the EU and NATO, conditioned by a total derussification programme.

Why not try to unify Germany and Austria too like the mustache man tried in 1938, maybe Russia with Belarus or with half of Ukraine? (too soon?) why not China with Taiwan too? see where this is going? it will create a dangerous precedent and most likely multiple civil wars or even international wars all over the globe for stupid reasons, just accept the internationally recognized borders as they are and mind your own f*cking business. Russians say the same thing Romanians do regarding eastern Ukraine, they speak the same language, traditions, have the same ethnicity bla bla blah, same things are said by Chinese in regards to Taiwan, they have same language, traditions and 5000 year old history b*llshit… we live here and now in 21st century with internationally recognized borders, you must accept that what makes a country is more complex than just having same history and language, by your logic, big countries should just annex their smaller neighbor who speaks the same language because this is the world you promote. Have you ever noticed that pretty much every country on this planet has a neighbor or sister/brother country who shares the same language, traditions and even ethnicity yet are separated due to ideology and mentality? Germany-Austria, Russia-Belarus… India-Pakistan…China-Taiwan…. England-USA-Australia-Canada…France-Haiti-Belgium…Spain-Bolivia-Mexico… Portugal-Brazil… Saudi Arabia-Iraq-Jordan etc. i'm sure you get the idea, countries are much more than just "language", this propaganda is what Putin is trying to play against the international community, he thinks such a world with constant conflict somehow benefits Russia as they have a major military and natural resources, do not be persuaded by such foolish actors, each country is different in MENTALITY and IDEOLOGY and RULES, for example, Moldova is a neutral non military country while Romania is a NATO member and has a military, this is already a large difference, then Moldovans have 2 main languages Romanian and Russian, another great difference, 30% of Moldovan population consists of mostly Slavic ethnicities, much larger minority group than in Romania which again is a great difference, this "union" would be an absolute disaster geopolitically as well, as Russia and Turkey have waged wars for centuries to conquer Moldova or to at least have influence in this region and they might start a war with Romania over this, Moldova is best left alone, a neutral country that is a bridge between East and West.

Actually the procentege of hunarys is 49 procent but what they dint say its that this procent is from 2 countys close to Romania mountins and there is only 3000 hungaryans there

  10. @TheTruthfulAsshole

    February 22, 2024 at 1:28 am

Well Moldova had volatile border history and for current times is a paper country. It really is just Eastern Romania. But let's be honest then and have Transnistria be part of Russia, part of West Ukraine and NorthEast Romania be back to Hungary and of course current Ukranian lines……also Poland wants a piece.

Reunification without Transnistria is the only hope for Moldovans

  13. @bm8641

Transnistria should be part of Ukraine.

  14. @shazud

3:00 There is no such thing as a Romanian SSR. Romania was never part of the Soviet Union. What you are referring to is the Socialist Republic of Romania. That is very different from the Romanian Socialist Soviet Republic :).

They should merge and similarly austria and germany and south tyrol

  17. @lioneldemun6033

    February 22, 2024 at 1:28 am

    They could but
    1) the great powers ( USA, EU and Russia) are against it
    2) the Romanian and Moldavian politicians are happy with the statu quo

  18. @sair9850

    February 22, 2024 at 1:28 am

In my opinion it should be annexed by Ukraine so the borders look better

  19. @alexanderanderson4082

    February 22, 2024 at 1:28 am

    Aceste țări nu pot merge

  20. @thegreypenguin5097

    February 22, 2024 at 1:28 am

8:40 in the case of reunification there would be no "Moldovan Constitution", and no, they would not need to "negotiate" anything. They would become part of NATO and the EU by virtue of becoming part of Romania. DUH!

  21. @borderlanduk3885

    February 22, 2024 at 1:28 am

IF! it's something both could live with they definitely should, Moldova would be much more secure going forward.

In this video, we’re going to take a look at the ruling in France and explain why, while it might be good news for Le Pen personally, it is actually probably bad news for the National Rally and thus the French right.
