The Cyprus issue is no different than the war issue in Ukraine.
The Ottoman savages just like todays putins Russian commies had invaded Cyprus allowing the turkish mongols to illegally occupying Cypriot land.
This is how they got their foot on Cyprus.
    In 1974 the turkish savages
Took advantage of the Greek junta involvement and
Invaded cyprus once again occupying a third of the island.
Today the turks have an army of over 200k by trying to divide cyprus in two independent states by military force.threatening to invade southern cyprus oce again .
The usa and eu today are allowing the turkish savages
    to hold hostage cyprus.

The longest coasts of the Eastern Mediterranean belong to Turkey. At the same time, it is a reality that should be taken seriously in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, which has existed in Northern Cyprus for more than 50 years and acts together with Turkey.

I watched tons of videos from western sources about Cyprus. None of them mentions in 2004 Turkey Cypriots accepted the UN Cyprus unification plan and Greek Cypriots rejected it.

After that EU leaders promised to lift the sanctions to North Cyprus. Nearly 20 years passed and these promises are not kept.

Turkish Cypriots being punished even they are pro-solution and Greeks Cypriots rewarded for their no-solution attitude.

Castellerizo island is 2000 metres away from Turkish shore and it is 2squeare kilometre wide as I heard Greeks are trying to claim 40.000 square metre EEZ zone for and island which is 20000 time more than its size. This is why Turkish side is saying island like this Greeks are taking the piss. And the other thing is Turkey has 900 km long shore on Eastern Mediterranean and Greece is 580 km away from the Eastern Mediterranean. I think Turkey will go for a large scale war aganist Greece and EU .
And don't be fooled Turkey aganis EU?
Turkey + Azerbaijan +Turkmanistan,Kazakhstan +Kirgisistan+ Pakistan +Katar & many more . Just Turkey alone has 35.000.000 stand by soldiers + new warfare technology.

  17. @umutsalihbayrak

    February 25, 2024 at 3:38 pm

İts not about cyprus actually you are intentionally misdirecting subject, matter is if greece increase its water borders 12 miles, there are islands which is belong to greece and closer to turkey less then 12 mile and turkey even will not able to use its coastline to transport its navy.

Turkey, like always, makes facts on the ground with impunity

  20. @voyager419

    February 25, 2024 at 3:38 pm

You forgot to mention that greece also wants to implement the 12 miles rule for his island from small to big ones in the agean see. That would make the entire agean an inland greek lake. You cannot just claim the water between your island and the mainland.
Falkland Islands are off the coeast of Argentina, so half of the atlantic ocean is English territorial water ? Stupid YES. Canada and Denmark had a similar situation with the Islands of the coast of Greenland and it got resolved but mutual understanding and sharing. Unlike Greece just getting out there and claiming anything they want. In the Sea of law it states you can put your borders at 12 miles IF IT DOESNT CONFLICT WITH OTHER NATIONS. The 12 Mile rules is for Mainland not islands.

Not to mention the massive arming of the islands close to Turkish coast and breaking International agreements that are signed decates ago. Why dont you mention that.
Why dont you mention that Greeks tryed a genocide on the Turks in Cyprus. Turkey tryed to get the attention of the British to fix this issue. They just ignored it. So all of a sudden its all good give us our island back ? Cyprus is not greek neither Turkish, it belongs to Great Britain, greeks and Turks just happen to live there together since a long time. Turks have just as more rights to have a share at the terriorial waters just like the greeks.

  22. @turan8

    February 25, 2024 at 3:38 pm

A large part of this problem is the long time historical bias against Turkey by the EU and it’s partners.

  23. @AKRITAS365

    February 25, 2024 at 3:38 pm

That's a stupid question to ask when knowingly it's Turkey who breaks the law .Greece has every right to extend its territorial waters to 12 miles especially south of Crete.
Turkey is a terrorist country who has committed one of th most horrific genocides in the world and continues today to provoke and attack neighboring countries.
It's time once again to reincarnate the Guns of Navarone
and destroy these barbaric ruthless blood thirsty Islamic savages just like our ancestors did.

  24. @kyrsid

    February 25, 2024 at 3:38 pm

turkey has a huge existential problem. it also has human rights problems and also YouTube is not allowed in turkey. it is an expansionist country with ruthless leaders that keep people poor and uneducated so they can fight their wars.

Turkey is a fascist country and its presided Erdogan wants to take control over the eastern Mediterranean and the entire area and his sick mind believes the Greek islands belongs to turkey, those islands population, for thousand years is Greek .

  26. @nezperce2767

    February 25, 2024 at 3:38 pm

As far as I have find on agreements and historical docs it's not and Greece, just turkey, wanting a piece of its neighbour's pie, as far as Aegean is concerned.

  27. @kosgad

    February 25, 2024 at 3:38 pm

I see you draw the territorial water claim around mainland of greece, what about the greek islands ? the islands are land too , so the territorial water claim of greece has to be bigger including all the islands, am i right or not?

  28. @Mauros-Lykos

    February 25, 2024 at 3:38 pm

They are afraid, that after Hellas extracts it’s natural gas found in its waters will be so strong that it will start to claim what rightfully ours. Constantinople and minor Asia. And make no mistake.Their fear is justified…

  29. @ragnar1145

    February 25, 2024 at 3:38 pm

If Turkey stops threatening to invade the greek territory, then Greece will stop militarize as they have the right to defend themselves by the Treaties in case of threat, invasion and potential war. In 1964 Turkey threatened to invade Cyprus and they did. How do you except they will wait for you to do the same? Read the Treaties again, history could be good for you 🇺🇸 🇫🇷🇬🇧🇮🇱🇬🇷 🇪🇸🇮🇹 🇮🇳 🇪🇬

    February 25, 2024 at 3:38 pm

I'd like to suggest that you make a new video about the subject focusing on the question of wet borders of the greek islands near Turkey, the militarization of some of those islands and the Lausanne Treaty, considering the very recent new and explicit threats of war. between

Our mission is to explain news and politics in an impartial, efficient, and accessible way, balancing import and interest while fostering independent thought.

TLDR is a completely independent & privately owned media company that’s not afraid to tackle the issues we think are most important. The channel is run by a small group of young people, with us hoping to pass on our enthusiasm for politics to other young people. We are primarily fan sourced with most of our funding coming from donations and ad revenue. No shady corporations, no one telling us what to say. We can’t wait to grow further and help more people get informed. Help support us by subscribing, engaging and sharing. Thanks!
