Earlier this month Moldova held an election (after months/years of political wrangling and chaos) and the results could lead the country closer to the EU and further away from its Soviet past. So in this video, we discuss Moldova’s recent political history, the election, and what the results mean for the countries’ future and the future of the region as a whole.

If they want faster into EU, they need to unite with Romania, as they have basically same culture. In 1-2 month its done.

They need several elections with pas winning. On-top of that they need to dislodge the so-called Russian peacekeepers and get those pesky Transnistrians to either emigrate to Russia, or to come along for the ride. This is gonna require military intervention.

If they join the EU now, Moldova will undoubtedly suffer a massive brain drain. Which will in the long term be much worse for Moldova than the short term benefits of joining the EU.

A year later, and Moldova is already a Formal Candidate to the EU. The War in Ukraine has only consolidated this path. It’s good to see the Moldovan government stable and firm in their improvements of the country’s politics and international status.

Seriously, Russia should just forget abut Moldova and move on. All Europeans do is blame Russia for their problems, especially Eastern Europeans, all the while giving Western Europe and the EU a free pass. Poland And the Czech Republic always love spitting on Russia for its past with them, which is understandable, but they hypocritically give Germany a free pass, just because they want to fit in with them. The same Germany who's working against them by getting gas from Russia and which had Nazis that considered them as subhumans. I can't wait until Germany turns on them again, as we see Nazism rising there too. Russia doesn't benefit here at all. Asia is Russia's future. That, and Africa, South and Central America, the Caribbean, etc. It has many allies outside of Europe. Europeans have been fighting since the dawn of time and will always be fighting. World wars to expulsions to genocides, you name it. Russia doesn't need any more headaches. The EU will eventually kill itself via debts and NATO will eventually become obsolete too as the West goes down. This time, the US, Australia, etc., won't be able to bail them out because they're going down as well. It's time for Russia to move on from Europe.

If Moldova decides it takes too long to join the EU they could choose unification with Romania as an autonomous state if it fits their needs better. Plus instant NATO membership.

Who’s guilty for this senseless war in Ukraine? Ultimately Russia, but we all know what Russia is and what they do. Who else? The EU and NATO, absolutely. They should have seen this coming, ALL the signs were there, yet they’ve been dragging their feet, holding on to their rules and conditions when they knew full well who they’re up against in reality, Russia. I hope the EU and NATO have learned the lesson and STOP being so difficult and stubborn, and START being more lenient and proactive regarding these countries that are being bullied and destroyed by Russia. Russia is not going to stop with Ukraine, both Georgia and Moldova are next. I really hope we learn the lesson this war is trying to teach us and find the shortcuts necessary to integrate these countries into the EU and NATO ASAP.

Now they are sometimes feeling smaller (because of the 1992 communist "almost split"), it is potentially more manageable for Moldova to join the EU, and yet it also means the is an opportunity to integrate new EU systems for the very reason that the Trans-Dniester portion of land has made its feeling towards communism clear. They basically want jobs as it is an economic debate these days. They would not get communism though. Bringing up an area (either there or nearby) is what capitalism is supposed to do (or other ways of making money). However, it makes integrating system more compatible with how a business-analyst or systems-analyst would do it because you always have to be sure you do not revolutionise a system as though ignoring the existing workflow. Communism somehow managed to still respect disparity of income even if it claimed not to. While there were blocks of flats which appear utilitarian, there was always some James-Bond style stuff going on in the background in some other location with some boss dude by a fine wood desk, with pricey alcohol, a cigar, some crumpet for a secretary and a space program. That is the "actual" way we in the West remember Communism.
My comment has no hate in it and I do no harm. I am not appalled or afraid, boasting or envying or complaining… Just saying. Psalms23: Giving thanks and praise to the Lord and peace and love.

Moldova needs to get its house in order first though, that could take decade to get right. Corruption is a HUGE deal and then there is the Russian element along Moldova's border, just next door in Ukraine.

If Ukraine fails, Moldova is guaranteed to be next.

In this video, we’re going to take a look at the ruling in France and explain why, while it might be good news for Le Pen personally, it is actually probably bad news for the National Rally and thus the French right.
