The real thing is. The ussr had an agreement with them. So they didn’t join. Even tho the ussr doesn’t exist anymore I still don’t think it
    Will happen

I was also really surprised when I found out Austria wasn't in NATO? And also if you did the video??? that they have been basically Right-Wing FOREVER now??? Not the Austria I had always envisioned for some reason…

Well, 1rst of all, there was never an invasion in UA

Easy.Austria refused to join NATO because in Austria was born Hitler and NATO is nazist, so Austria don't want to be Nazist again.

    February 16, 2024 at 3:51 am

As an Austrian, there is no way we ever join NATO. We have no real reason to do so, and even if we did changing the constitutin to remove it a suicide mission for any party pushing for it. The ÖVP and the Green, pretty much the only two parties to support ending neutrality at all, are loosing votes at extreme speed, partially due to supporting aiding Ukraine and questioning neutrality (and for being extremely corrupt, and for how they handled Corona, and because of what happened to Kurz. they have a lot of issues right now, but neutrality is definitly one)

This makes Austria even more special. Because we know that Switzerland and Norway while part of Continental Europe are not part of the EU. Norway is part of NATO. Yet Austria is part of the EU but not part of NATO..

Austria agreed in the 1950s' agreed not to join NATO and remain neutral. That was the guarantee given to the USSR for them to leave Austrian soil after 1955. It would be the dumbest decision to make. And dishonest to boot.

  29. @Hairysteed

    February 16, 2024 at 3:51 am

If Russia is concerned about NATO closing in on their borders then Austraia, Swizerland and Sweden must be downright scared shitless being completely surrounded by NATO, and they don't even have Nuclear weapons like Russia does!
