   I think Albania is going the be the first new member EU ! We are suprised how Albania grow up and bild his state , just little bit salares up and here they are in EU !

   I mean rhis video is kinda old at this point but u mentioned protests when new government abolished the law about churches… What you didnt mention are peaceful protests when old government decllared law where basically every week there were 300k people protesting all over country… Just so you get the point .Montmegro has about 600k total… So those protests after that were nothing compared to those

   I’m from Montenegro! I call myself Montenegrin. but I’m a Serb. The Montenegrin ethnicity DOES NOT exist. We are all of Serbian blood (except the Albanian minority) and even the 1st state of Serbia was formed on today’s land of Montenegro. We are Montenegrins by nationality, but Serbian blood is the one that flows through our veins.

    This is why Turkey will never be allowed to join the EU
    Cyprus has said it will veto every attempt for Turkey to join the EU until the Turks gets out of northern Cyprus.

    Excellent video. Just two remarks. Aquis in French is pronounced "aki" not "akwi". And Maastricht ia spelt with "cht" not ,"ct".

    Crna Gora has been cutting ties with the other slavs for way too long. Sadly the brotherhood Serbia and they've once had is now little more than a mention within history books. As a Serb I wish them all the best whatever path that takes them.

    I'd love to see this happen – as long as Montenegro agrees to treaty change where they vote yes to abolishing the veto. Just like Romania and Bulgaria did in regard to the creation of an European constitution.
    We can't afford to have more Netherlands, Hungaries, etc. in the block, abusing their vetos.

    The EU really needs to learn to act much more quickly. As it plods along, the people in numerous EU states move against Brussels (even if it is because they do not understand Brussels), populist and nationalist movements grow, and now threats to European stability from the East fester.

    One thing that should really be emphasized about Montenegro is that it's really really tiny. It's population of ~620k is actually smaller than Luxembourg's ~633k. So any actual economic impact of it joining the union will be minimal or non-existant, it's a rounding error practically. It's population isn't significant enough to cause any noticeable emigration (even if 10% of the entire country emigrates that's only 60k people and not all of those 60k would then go to a single country so the impact would be even smaller). Similarly it defaulting wouldn't drag the Euro down or anything. So the only potential negative impact of Montenegro joining would be that it would be another vote in the EU, with its own interests and priorities, and having 28 votes and requiring unanimity isn't better than having 27 votes and requiring unanimity. So, if Montenegro joins after the unanimity rules are reformed, and it accepts those new rules, there shouldn't be any problems.

    Yes why not just don't exept that Serbia join because 80-90 people is not for EU, but our politicans can't see that because they think that people think like 20 years ago…..

    this is really strange just watched the montenegro currency and its the euro, how does the montenegro central bank work if its not one of the ecb central banks, cannot print money, or they live just with euros from tourism?

    You left out the most important part. After 25 years of power, in 2020 election, Milo Djukanovic (former president) who made Montenegro into a kleptocracy, has fallen from power, and the country has moved towards a more representational democracy, and not a one party dominated system.
    But of course you did not miss out on mentioning the serbian boogeyman, even though the serbian president is ironically not more connected to serbian parties in montenegro, but with Milo Djukanovic.
