Wot??? Turkey & Hungary were democratic elections. Orban was up against a COMBINED Leftist opposition candidate BACKED BY SOROS and Fidesz still crushed them as Hungarians-don't-want-migrants. Erdogan in Turkey had more of a fight but that's part of democracy and he has made pledges in response.
The chief concern for Europe is VON DER LEYEN facing no opposition candidate when she was parachuted in by Merkel as EU Commission president. Like North Korea.
Never heard of that Japanese geezer. The premise of this video is complete and utter PFERDSCHEISS.

Sorry but i thought that this site had at least some basic geographic knowlwdge Turkey apart of this small part of territory that goes along wirh Istanbul isn't to be considered European country simply because is a Turquic country with an altaic based language ( no indoeuropean) totally different culture in many aspects of everyday life, a predominant islamic culture….so where's the European factor on that land? If you could add Turkey as European country you can also add Morocco too, plus is much closer to Europe too, only 17 klm down of Spain!

The best guarantor of the most free and transparent democratic system, would be that of one of a digital society, online voting, citizenship, health records, a self auditing government, all done on the blockchain to ensure its immutability.

Are you kidding me?! Your talking about this stuff when. 1) The same cast of supposed " democratic " characters are using the Ukraine war to bring in an eu army, whose sole purpose will be to stifle all reasonable dissent to the unelected, ruling canals "harmonization" efforts, in several eu countries. 2)The fact that not a single eu budget has ever been audited, since it's inception, a complete lack of transarency. 3)Bank deposits were illegally seized in order to make eu balance sheets look more attractive, and legitimate, this, by the way done by the same group of oligarchs, who gave you negative interest rates, a first,no doubt, in the 6000 yr history of finance. And, not least, a complete subversion of the Italian political, and electoral systems to foist an eu flunky on the Italian people against their will, to keep the right from making any headway, and the assholes are talking about democracy? PLEASE!!!!

I think chinas rise is probably going to facilitate the rise of more authoritarian regimes. The Arab spring proved not everyone could be trusted with the right to vote 🗳 and maybe authoritarians could hold things together more effectively

Tell me from whom Von der Leyen is elected in the EU?! Before you pick intentionally those two countries to critize, you should critize US elections and the manupulation there.
I go even forder and i ask why G. Soros does not investigate the relations or financing of the EU diplomats.
What is your understanding of democracy? Oh yes, we have seen democracy being promoted by the western world over the past few decades. Should I now also list all the countries that have been destabilized in the name of "democracy"?

    What a shame!

  21. @guywiththepanzerhausf6478

    February 20, 2024 at 7:51 pm

well the thing with Hungary is that while it would be normally democratic but all of our politicians are trash Fidesz steals everything and momentum would probably sell the Country like they did in the past, so we doesn't have a choice that's a big part why Fidesz always wins even tough it's horrible it's (probably) better then the rest. they should all just be in prison.

Election Subversion & lack of trust in the election process is also a significant problem in the US. Even when Trump won, there were claims made. Although it iant reported much in the mainstream, election subversion has been found since the 2020 election (e.g Arizona), when it looked like it ws just a lunatic fringe claiming that, based on no evidence. As far as I know anyway i am no expert (do your own research, but isn't it completely absurd to expect Big-5 Owned Corporate Media to be truthful or trustworthy, when they have such a conflict of interest in that??).

I don't care who does it (Dem, Rep or Forward Party) but i reckon it is great that Governor Desantes of Florida has set up stronger election monitoring; & Reps have brought the US up to the standards of other Democratic Countries, by bringing in Voter ID. The claims of "racism" are pure political game, and had no mert to them under senate inquiry – Voter ID is easily accessible & normal & essential to any Democratic process.

People will more and more unite or they won’t survive as science grows more and more. So we will sooner or later turning into hivemind. How is that democratic is beyond me, it’s either the elite rules us, ai rules us, or forcing the will of the people onto everyone else. Fact of the matter is technology and flow of capital forced us to move that way, ak capitals will flow to technology that help them to retain power, makes more centralize power more feasible compared to decades ago.

  33. @ashleycarrier6606

Fukuyama's conceit was the same "liberal hegemony" thinking that convinced American neocons they could remake the world into a global "McWorld" after the fall of the Soviets.

Are we just going to ignore big tech's ablity to swing elections by controlling the flow of information?

  35. @udvarhelyibalint

    February 20, 2024 at 7:51 pm

I don't know about any proven polling fraud in Hungary in 2018. Accusations, yes. Also Fidesz's overpower is in part because of the opposition being held captive by the previous miserably failed PM, Gyurcsány. He is a dividing personality, probably half the opposition voters dislike him along with Orbán. Of course Gyurcsány is aware that he cannot win an election so now his wife is running for PM if she wins the pre-elections. I repeat, he stepped aside to make room for his wife and he halis himself as someone who holds the toch of democracy high. To be fair, his wife may be talented leader but I think there must be another candidate out of the 9.5M Hungarians who is not the wife of the failed previous PM that got rich from fraudulent privatisation helped by his social network of former powerful communists, and whose grandfather wasn't someone who played a major role in retaliation and executions after the 1956 Hungarian Revolution.

  36. @HolyknightVader999

    February 20, 2024 at 7:51 pm

Populism is anti-democratic? No. It is the final form of democracy: popular degeneracy. It's what the Founding Fathers feared would happen if they instituted a king-less society, and that fear has now come to pass.

  37. @prodigiii712

    February 20, 2024 at 7:51 pm

If you compare Hungary to Turkey you’re the useless propagandist. They’ve had a fair election and their opposition have more financial backing. In Turkey the elections are staged.

  38. @cooldog8856

    February 20, 2024 at 7:51 pm

4:10 You mine as well cite the U.S Democratic Party as well as their news sources as they claimed victory very early and uses bogus opinions polls reguarly.

  39. @ali20396

    February 20, 2024 at 7:51 pm

Certainly Turkey and Hungary are authoritarian regimes when the results of Freedom House are written by liberal leftists, and also journalists should not be imprisoned even if they break the law and plot with the coup officers,
As for the judges, it does not matter if he is secular and neutral and refused to deal with the coup officers that he is corrupt because he was appointed by the right-wing party

Earlier this week, a trade war broke about between the US and Canada. But the EU, a more Canada-aligned ally, appears to have a pretty muted response so far. So, in this video, we’re taking a look at the escalating US-Canada trade war, how it’s pushing Canada towards the EU and how the EU is responding.
