After a rapid Ukrainian advance, the frontline seems to have settled. But reports that Ukraine are close to launching a siege of Kherson are growing, and even Russian officials think it’s likely they’ll retake the city. So what does this mean for the war going forward?

I think it's also worth noting that blowing up a dam would be considered a war crime, as it doesn't apply to the rules of proportionality, distinction or military necessity. I don't know what other sanctions could be thrown at the Russian state for further breaches of the Geneva Conventions, which they are still signed up to.

  8. @mgronich948

    February 23, 2024 at 3:04 am

The fact that the dam is needed to supply water to Crimea is conclusive evidence the Ukrainians will try to blow up the dam. But also this is a reason why Russia may be faking a withdrawal, they will defend the city and the Dam.

  9. @mgronich948

    February 23, 2024 at 3:04 am

Given that the llooding would mostly be on the east side (Russian controlled side) this seems to point to a Ukrainian operation to be blamed on Russia. After all the west was accusing Russia of bombing NordStream. But also it seems the Ukrainians think this may be a Russian trap and is holding off on advancing on Kerson city. The recent attack on the Russia warships in the black sea may be part of this operation, the ships in the black sea will have cruise missiles and perhaps Iranian drones. Once Ukrainian troops and armor come into the open and are spotted by Russian drones. Russia says just 1 warship suffered minor damage. But other rumors are 3 warships were damaged. If this attack was not fully successful, would the counter offensive be called off?

  16. @johannjohann6523

Let's hope Ukraine rethinks any Kherson offensive. Why do you think all the Russia talk and BS about nuclear weapons and Putin said all options are open, this isn't a bluff. Kherson. Okay – no worries really. Then Russian officials said "They would NOT use nuclear weapons". The fact Russia now say's they won't use nukes, is worrisome as hell. So I hope Ukraine keeps their troops spread out. Putin doesn't have many options and his back is against the wall. Plus he's nuts. Maybe more so than any other President before him. And those guys were bat shit crazy!

  28. @ad220588

    February 23, 2024 at 3:04 am

🔴 In fact, it turned out that if the dam were blown up, Kherson would not be flooded. however, the Russian positions were flooded. Things like that can be calculated just like earthquakes, floods, watercourses…

  29. @robertsteliannita1990

    February 23, 2024 at 3:04 am

The claim that Ukraine wants to blow up the damn is stupid. 1. Ukraine has the Russian on the run and they are willing and able to chase them to Crimea. Why would they block their path to chase the Russians? 2. Russia controls the damn. They have troops on both side. How can the Ukrainians mine the damn in those conditions? 3. If Ukraine would be willing and able to blow up the damn wouldn't have made sense to blow it up by now with Russians on both side of the Dnipro river? Instead of targeting the bridges near the damn. I don't understand how someone in the EU could believe this.

  30. @Neoscarface6342

    February 23, 2024 at 3:04 am

Ive played risk before and here’s the ukrainian game plan, once they retake kherson, they will move their efforts to crimea and completely blow up the bridge and that is the point where we should be afraid of nuclear weapons because crimea had been a part if russia for the past 8 years

You man you are not updated about the situation in Ukraine.

The situation is that Russians are receiving reinforcements every day and fortifying their front lines in Kerson and other areas. Actually, Russia could be having an intetion of attacking Odessa after the winter.

  34. @paxtoncargill4661

    February 23, 2024 at 3:04 am

Why does it matter to take back streets bombed to rubble, in some cities 90% of buildings have been partially destroyed. The truth is that Ukraine can never win from this war. All they will take back is barbed wire and mine laden soil.

  35. @ohmy419

  36. @lidiay1

    February 23, 2024 at 3:04 am

There is no independent Ukraine, never was, there is a colony named Ukraine with the most corrupt puppet government in Europe that seals anything that is not bolted down especially now, they make more money on the blood of their citizens than ever before. Ukraine has already lost hundreds of thousands of soldiers that no one is allowed to talk about, in Ukraine, the law stated if you design with the government you get life in prison. What's happening in Ukraine right now does not matter in long run, they have already lost, at this moment NATO needs to be able to show something to the citizens of their countries, how well they money launder tax dollars. The more blood is spilled the more money is made, that's why everyone said they will fight till the last drop of Ukrainian blood, funy that people who say that do not have any Ukrainian blood in them 😉

  37. @03.achyuthans39

    February 23, 2024 at 3:04 am

I do feel this Kherson propaganda is another cover for them to go at Luhansk or Mariupol etc. Freeing the seashore and gaining does seem more important than one city connected by one bridge.
And not to mention that if they do indeed do it, they can cut off Crimea and encircle the Russians in Kherson oblast

  38. @lidiay1

    February 23, 2024 at 3:04 am

Don't waist your time watching this garbage. TLDR News is paid-for government propaganda. They serve as an advertisement for money laundering of our taxes into the pockets of the defense sector; who in turn pays for the elections of their politicians. When will those people have enough blood on their hands to stop making money from the death of others? If anyone tells you that this conflict only has one side that is bad and the other is good, don't even listen to that person. They either do not know what they are talking about or this channel is a means of government advertisement. They only have 2 thousand real subscribers on this channel the rest are paid-for views from a service from China LOL.

  39. @erkocab

    February 23, 2024 at 3:04 am

strategically the Ukrainians should make a great show of trying to retake Kherson – and thereby freezing in place a large number of Russian troops, then strike elsewhere. I think this was the blueprint for their successes in early September and it should be used now. Above all they should not get bogged down in a WW1 style combat in front of Kherson.

Russians have already been watched putting mines on the dam. If this happens, the US must enter the war, with UA forces, calling shots in their own country. Russia, by blowing up the dam on the Nipro river, will essentially wipe out the lives of remaining 30 and 40k humans that will remain behind, along with the numerous settlements.
